SoCal Indie Pop outfit The Millennial Club is back with their 2022 EP titled When It’s Just You & I. With 4 songs totaling 16 minutes of music, the EP pushes the boundaries of Indie Pop by combining themes of neighboring genres, creating a unique sound. The band has opened for Conan Gray, Charlotte Lawrence, Hippie Sabotage, Katelyn Tarver, MOONZz, and Quinn XCII. While the record certainly takes influence from others in the genre, yet remains unequivocally unique.

Themes of honesty, confessing feelings and wearing your heart on your sleeve weave throughout the entire project, and the band brilliantly navigates complex emotions.

On the impact of the project, frontman Andres Owens said, “...

I think that as artists, we all want to impact the world in some way, however big or small; the real reason we do what we do is because we can’t help but feel like we have to. We have to create, express, mold, shape, shift, contort, and most importantly, release the emotions and ideas within us.”

The project features songs like the anti-valentines day single “xx” and “When It’s Just You and I” which pull the project into a cohesive piece of art.

When looking at this EP in the context of The Millennial Club’s discography, it adds to their unique sound and incredible ability to lyricise real human emotions, leading to a deep connection with their fans. Check out ‘When It’s Just You & I’ on your preferred streaming platform.
