Roaring out of the cage with unbridled energy and ferocity comes Roxx Revolt and their electrifying track "Sexcent"! This instantly gripping song ignites an adrenaline rush with every pulsating listen (We are already on our 11th play, by the way). There's a suspicion that this Miami-based band may have infused a touch of Griselda Blanco's infamous Medellin “special sauce” to deliver an extra kick of intensity and grit. The vocals are a captivating blend of harrowing and gruff, exuding an undeniable raw power that will leave you hopelessly addicted to the scintillating screams – "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH" – that echo endlessly, embodying the essence of diverse rock and roll subgenres. Roxx Revolt is akin to a wild roller coaster, tearing down the tracks and ready to fly off the rails (we are already on listen 13, by the way). The guitar work sounds like a fusion of carburetor and musical instrument, creating a fire-blazing, fuel-filled sonic assault. The solo is a jaw-dropping display of badassery that will make you yearn for the return of those scorching guitar leads. The drums pound with the intensity of a hammer against stone, defining the crisp yet glass-shattering sound. Rounding out the sonic onslaught is the killer rhythm and bass, stunning the listener with their rolling yet grungy thunder feel. Somebody, please get us tickets to the next Roxx Revolt show – we need to witness this live! Returning once more to her vocals, this vocalist dominates the track, showcasing a commanding presence that will undoubtedly make Roxx Revolt a force to be reckoned with in the arena. "Sexcent" is as hard as a coffin nail and packs a punch like Mickey from Snatch (Google it and choose the fight scenes, you're welcome). If you crave hard-hitting, unapologetically fun rock and roll, then Roxx Revolt is the band for you. Brace yourself for a sonic tsunami of epic proportions! Playlist, stream and share "Sexcent" by Roxx Revolt today!

We had a chance to get Roxx Revolt in The Cage and learn more about them and we wanted to share it with you! Here’s what we learned:

When did you start making music? Can you tell the fans something they might not know about you that is important to understanding why you create music?

I started making music when i was around 12… I truly dont know why i started but when i started I couldnt stop, i remember my main thing has always been the connection between the artist and the people and how something one makes when it reach so many it takes so many different meanings, that fascinates me and i think thats why many years later i still love writing the most. -Roxx

If you are a duo or a band, how did you form? Please tell us the band members' names, roles, and relevant instruments.

We are a band.

We pretty much met throughout open mics and some friends in common… jake

I wanted to start a project when i moved to USA and started doing open mics to find people that wanted to form a band-Roxx

Chris-Drums

Devin- bass

Roxx- vocals

Jake- guitar

What first sparked the passion for you to create music?

Roxx: watched a live show of a Hispanic singer and the crowd was just going crazy. It was enthralling… -roxx

Can you walk us through your songwriting process and where the inspiration comes from for this latest project?

Roxx: we really don't have a writing process… I don't know if thats a myth or if we are terrible songwriters lol but for real, sometimes we make something all together that starts with a riff or a beat, sometimes somebody make something by themselves and we improve it all together… sometimes we dont write for weeks and sometimes we write 3 songs all at once. Inspo for “sexcent” our new single sonically comes from many places from garage to grunge, lyric wise it talks of a person struggling with their inner desire and their inner disgust for a person/situation, inspo came from that feeling of tension and release you feel in any “push and pull” situation.

Where do you create your music, i.e. in a home recording studio or with a producer? How do you finalize your finished work, ie self-mixed/mastered or another source?

Roxx: this time we did at a Studio, we dont mix or master our own music but we produce it, our next goal is to record us ourselves.

What was the most challenging part of bringing this project to life, from the initial idea to the final recording?

To be honest, nothing, it was pretty easy cause we were enjoying it so it felt like everything went super smooth and fast

Is any part of your music's message or purpose you feel fans or the industry has overlooked? If so, what is that element, and why is it so important to you?

I hope not, but we feel the industry needs more soul and less image, less apathy too.

What has been the most motivating force in creating your music?

All of us:

Collective experiences, individual experiences and also the need to keep playing more crowds, get to more people and being able to do what we love for as long as we can.

What part of the music-making process is the most stressful, ie the creation, the actual release date, etc?

Ironically… Social media promo. We dont really like to do much social media.

If there was one thing you could change about the music industry, what would it be?

Better deal for artist, bet in more organic artists instead of social media stars, more diversity of genre

Where do you see your sound and artistry heading in the future? Are there any exciting new directions you're exploring?

I see us making some ballads for sure, its about time lol.

Yes, since we started with sexcent it felt like the beginning of an era. It feels like we will simplify a little songwriting wise but we will amplify a little bit more live.

What instruments do you play? Which is your favorite?

Roxx: guitar,piano,drums. Piano

Chris: drums,piano,guitar,bass. Drums

Jake: piano,guitar,bass. Guitar

Devin: guitar,bass,piano. bass

Tell us about the last time you performed. Where was the show, and what was your experience like?

St Pete pride show 2024. St pete, Florida.

It was amazing, crowd was so fun and engaging , the stage was amazing too, we were very happy with the team as well… It was a great event and everybody was super nice to us.

Have you ever been on tour and can you tell us a little about the experience?

We have been on a tour… It was a life changing experience, at the time when you are there you are just enjoying and performing so you dont truly process whats going on until u come back home. In our case we are the most happy when we are playing, so imagine playing everyday and getting to travel and meet many new people. Its great!

Was there ever a time when you emotionally felt, “I can’t do this anymore”? Can you tell us why this happened and how you found the strength to continue?

I feel like that happens often for all of us (musicians/performers) , i cant think of anything in particular at the moment but i usually dont give myself a choice, i know what i want and the only way to get it is to keep going.

What is your favorite song to cover?

We love to do psycho killer by the talking heads

What is your favorite quote?

How do you feel about social media?

We think it does more harm than good for our industry…

So many good song ideas have been abandoned under the pressure of pleasing an algorithm. Short Attention spam is really a problem for the arts in general.

If you could go on any late-night talk show, which would it be? And based on present life, what would be the topic of discussion?

Jimmy Fallon maybe? We would talk about moving out of state.

When you become famous, what famous band or artist would you love to tour with?

Starcrawler!

When you become famous, what underrated band or artist would you like to show the world they have been missing?

Some of our fav local bands

What is the most motivating thing a fan or anyone has ever told you about your music?

That they have been through hard times w it, that 2 of our songs made it to their top 5 songs on their spotify wrapped
