Are you ready for Towa Bird's highly anticipated debut album, American Hero? The powerhouse body of work will introduce a one-of-a-kind new voice in the world of alt-rock/pop as the singer-songwriter and guitarist showcases her talent.

A half-Filipino, half-English artist, Towa Bird, started playing guitar at 12 and gained attention with her unique style. She dropped out of school to pursue music and signed with Interscope Records. Her debut album, American Hero, explores queerness, identity, and love with her explosive guitar skills and emotionally compelling songwriting. This album appears ready to solidify Bird's position as a prominent figure in contemporary LGBTQ+ pop music."

Towa is heading out on a headline tour in California and New York this September and October. All tickets for the (American) Hero Complex Tour are now on sale. In addition to the headline shows, Towa will perform at All Things Go in New York and Columbia, MD. Towa has previously delivered her electrifying live performance on Reneé Rapp's Snow Hard Feelings Tour in North America and Europe.

“These songs are me being completely honest about queer love and all its essence; there’s a lot of yearning and vulnerability and dealing with difficult emotions,” says Towa, who also landed on Rolling Stone’s list of the top candidates for “Pop’s Next Big Thing.” “I grew up listening to so many male-gazey love songs, and it was important to put something out into the world that felt like the music I wanted for myself when I was a kid.”

Crafted with a high-energy sound influenced by traditional garage-punk, '90s Britpop, and contemporary indie-rock, American Hero includes albums-pleasers such as "B.I.L.L.S." (a punk-driven anti-capitalist anthem) and "Drain Me!" (a sing-along-friendly love song co-written with Mikky Ekko).
