This Song is Set To Be A Classic, “Sort Of Stranger” - The Greeting Committee & Briston Maroney

The Visualizer for this song is a movie with opening credits that glued your eyes to the screen with only flowers and one character who not only barely does anything, they actually never even once appears to speak or even seem involved. I don’t think I ever watched a video so intently waiting and waiting which is obviously the anxiety this director wished for me to experience.

Vocally it’s an amazing duet performance.

Lyrically it’s a beautiful message that redefined love and heartache in another way I feel I have not heard before. The use of the word “if” made me ask myself with a swell of tear in my eye, “What will I do “if” what happens in this song happens to me?”

You have to listen to the song yourself to know what “if” is…to you.

This song is absolutely already a future classic and it’s there’s no “if” in that.

"Sort Of Stranger"

I see you running out from the garden Call in the kids. The floor is rotting Brittle boned homes for adolescence I guess we do turn into our parents All of the discord, I thought I ran for, I don't want to feel more. I don't want to feel And it just gets harder. I swear I feel further. I just want to feel you. Just wanna If you're gone, who gets the toothbrush ready? If you're gone, I'll watch too much TV If you're gone, how do I go on living? If you're gone, how do I go on? Call it a cop out like hating a hometown Knock on your window with leash in my mouth I've been agent. I want to be anchored You look right through me like some sort of stranger All of the distance, I thought I missed it. I don't want to feel it. I don't want to feel And it just gets harder. I swear I feel smaller. I just want to feel you. Just wanna If you're gone, who gets the toothbrush ready? When you're gone, I watch too much TV If you're gone, how do I go on living? If you're gone, how do I go on? I won't say your name again I'll hate words that resemble it I won't say your name again I'll hate words that resemble it I won't say your name again I won't say your name
