With the debut of their captivating new track, we're thrilled to introduce Brooklyn-based band Treasure Coast and their song "daydreamer." The song poses a thought-provoking question from the first notes: "How do you know when you're awake and when you sleep?" This instantly signals that this is no ordinary pop tune, as the deep, introspective lyrics invite the listener to ponder profound existential musings. The vocals on "daydreamer." are lovely, drawing the listener in with their smooth, silky delivery. Every word that reaches our ears is titillating, as the band seamlessly blends elements of psychedelic '90s shoegaze and trip-hop, all filtered through a contemporary lo-fi production aesthetic. The result is a sound that hits hard, thanks to the perfect pairing of the vocals, lyrics, and supporting musical arrangement.

As the band explains, "With shoegaze and nu-gaze trending currently, Treasure Coast attempts a different 'take' on this sound by combining the gliding guitar wash with downtempo trip-hop beats and cerebral production."

The parts of this song that really hit hard were the dragging beats that made us feel the drowsy effects of depressant drugs, but the feeling was anything but depressing. It made us slowly and gently bop with that “wow, this is a jam!” look in our eyes. The drum fills were also exceptional and a standout. Next, we hear all this ear candy just lining our ears with so many sugary sweet sounds. The heavily edited, whispery little vocals were so dope. Vocally, we can’t leave this extremely talented vocalist's distinct and unique styling. It’s the dragging, slow pace that hypnotizes you. You have to check this out for yourself!

This innovative approach has certainly piqued our interest, and we're eagerly anticipating the upcoming release of the eight singles the band has planned over the next few months. The talents of singer/guitarist Christian Celaya and drummer/keyboardist Steve Bryant are undeniable. Celaya's impressive resume includes producing albums for Omar Rodriguez Lopez, Deantoni Parks, Ryan Key, and Travis Stever, while Bryan has collaborated with artists such as The Young and Sick, The Knocks, Michna, and Eliot Lipp. It's no surprise that the combination of these two accomplished musicians has resulted in such an alluring and unique sound. The production on "daydreamer." is equally impressive, with a fantastic mix and master that delivers a crystal-clear recording. We can't help but be hooked by the track's distinctive styling and captivating beats, and we're impatiently waiting to hear what Treasure Coast has in store for us next.

Be sure to stream, playlist, and share Treasure Coast and their song "daydreamer." today.
