If you haven’t heard of Sluttony yet, where have you been? The all-femme, high-energy rock band from Santa Cruz is shaking up the DIY scene, and their latest track, “Dice,” captures their fearless, go-for-it mentality.

Written in the final, chaotic stretch of finishing their upcoming debut LP, Dice was built around a hypnotic lead guitar line from Hannah Goodwin. From there, the band crafted an upbeat, high-energy track that embodies the thrill of uncertainty—of rolling the dice and taking risks. Sabine Hovnanian suggested centering the lyrics around that theme, making it the perfect anthem for anyone ready to dive headfirst into the unknown.

And if you think their music is electrifying, you have to see them live because Sluttony can turn a packed house into a full-blown frenzy. Their passionate lyricism, searing guitar riffs, deep melodic basslines, and driving drum beats create an atmosphere where every person in the crowd is fully immersed—jumping, shouting, and feeling every note.

With lead singer Hannah Goodwin, bassist Caroline Margolis, guitarist Nina Maravic, and drummer Sabine Hovnanian, Sluttony knows how to craft a setlist that keeps fans engaged from start to finish. Their live performances take the audience on a ride, from explosive intros to controlled intensity, and closing with an electrifying finale. Beyond the music, the band’s seamless transitions, on-stage chemistry, and dynamic performances make every Sluttony show unforgettable.

From dominating Santa Cruz’s house show scene to selling out venues across California, Sluttony is proving that femme-rock is here to stay. If “Dice” is any indication of what’s to come, we’re all in for something legendary.
