Sam Fender continues to build anticipation for his forthcoming third album, People Watching, with the release of a brand-new single, "Arm’s Length", out now via Capitol Records.
Describing the track, Sam shares: “Arm’s Length” originally came from one of those magic moments where you’re just messing around, and a song literally falls out of the sky. It’s about being avoidant and flighty. But also, just a simple pop song, which I love.”
The new single is the third preview from People Watching, following the anthemic title track and the introspective "Wild Long Lie." Fans who attended Sam’s sold-out 2024 UK and Ireland arena tour have already experienced "Arm’s Length" live, where its widescreen, cinematic energy left a lasting impact.
As one of Britain’s most accomplished songwriters of his generation, Fender follows up Seventeen Going Under—his acclaimed coming-of-age record—with People Watching, a collection of vivid storytelling that captures the beauty in everyday lives.
With a sold-out European tour kicking off in March and a US tour this spring, Sam’s UK stadium shows this June are shaping up to be monumental. Three nights at Newcastle’s St. James’ Park sold out instantly, while his biggest London show to date at London Stadium is down to its final tickets. Supporting acts include CMAT across all four shows, with The War on Drugs joining on June 6th, 14th, and 15th.
Additionally, £1 from every ticket sold will be donated to cultural organizations like Youth Music and Sunday for Sammy to support the arts in North East England.
