Prepare to elevate your playlist! Rebecca Black is here to transform the start of 2025 with the announcement of her highly anticipated second album, Salvation, dropping January 17. As a taste of what promises to be an electrifying addition to the pop landscape, she’s unveiled her latest single, “Sugar Water Cyanide.”

With vibrant, sun-soaked production that injects a burst of energy into the heart of winter, “Sugar Water Cyanide” captures the pulse of a euphoric night out. Black paints a vivid picture of losing herself on the dancefloor, where the rhythm pulses like a heartbeat and the air hums with possibility. Her lyrics weave a seductive story of a lover who’s as irresistibly sweet as sugar and as dangerously alluring as cyanide, culminating in the bittersweet truth:

“What’s pleasure without pain?”

“‘Sugar Water Cyanide’ feels like the song I’ve been waiting my entire life to release,” Rebecca shares. “It’s pure adrenaline, the kind of track that demands to be blasted at full volume—whether in your car, a packed club, or anywhere the bass can shake the walls.”

The song’s music video is a visual whirlwind, following Rebecca and her crew on a rebellious road trip across a sun-drenched desert. Between rooftop dance parties, carefree antics, and nostalgic nods to video game aesthetics and vintage drug PSA commercials, the video captures the chaotic freedom of youth in full bloom.

Salvation, a seven-track masterpiece, follows Rebecca’s groundbreaking debut album Let Her Burn. It includes the infectious recent single “TRUST!” along with five fresh songs: “American Doll,” “Tears In My Pocket,” “Do You Even Think About Me?,” and “Twist The Knife.”

Mark your calendar—January 17 promises to be a day that redefines pop perfection.
