From a series of chance encounters that were simply too perfect to be random, Robbie Kingsley, Franco Solari, Dylan McCue, Andre Escobar, and Zach Levy came together to form The Hails. What started as a few casual gigs in Miami’s underground high school music scene evolved into something much bigger during their time at the University of Florida. With their college house serving as a gritty but inspiring backdrop, the band honed their signature sound—one that now defines their unique, polished style.
After college, The Hails returned to their roots in Miami, a city that continues to influence their evolving sound. The shimmering singles “Younger” and “Stay” gave listeners a taste of their brilliance, followed by their breakout EP He Seems Upset (2020) and the lush follow-up Alive in Strange Ways (2021). These releases paved the way for their highly anticipated debut album What’s Your Motive, now making waves in the indie scene.
Their rise has been nothing short of electric, with festival performances at Governors Ball, III Points, and Okeechobee, along with sold-out headlining shows that have solidified their place as one of indie rock’s most exciting new bands. The Hails have also hit the road supporting acts like Quarters of Change, The Beaches, and The Moss, building a loyal fanbase that continues to grow with each performance.
