We had the pleasure of experiencing the latest release by KaiserKillers, “Saints Preserve Us (25 Mix),” and we couldn’t be more thrilled that they revisited this track. If you’re familiar with the original, prepare to be blown away by this retooled version.

The song launches with a thunderous, punchy kick drum that explodes into the audible landscape. It’s crisp and powerful, providing the perfect backbone for this rock ‘n’ roll anthem. As the gritty, distorted guitars roll in, they strike that perfect balance of crunch and raw energy. When the lead vocals of Johnny Zero enter, the interpretation and delivery exude a strong 1960s influence, yet KaiserKillers inject a deeper emotional intensity, achieving an authentic rock ‘n’ roll edge. The commanding tone of Zeros' vocals is reminiscent of a drill sergeant wielding a guitar instead of a rifle, piercing yet husky, delivering each lyric with undeniable force and vibrancy.

Just 40 seconds in, we hit an early standout moment where the vocals shift, dragging with deliberate intensity, creating a signature technique that pairs perfectly with the cascading guitar and drum effects. The resulting bass-infused sensation is simply mesmerizing.

“Will the Saints Preserve Us?”

is delivered with unrestrained power and overwhelming emotional depth, truly elevating the song to the next level. Johnny Zero delivers a sound like The Beatles meets The Animals, combining vintage rock sensibilities with fresh, contemporary energy.

Another outstanding moments in the song is the timing of

“Will the Saints Preserve Us?” immediately followed by “Wouldn’t you like to know?”,

a brilliant production choice that makes this track an undeniable win. The rolling guitars and whispered, almost screamed delivery of “Wouldn’t you like to know?” add yet another thrilling layer to the song, showcasing KaiserKillers’ knack for inventive, high-impact techniques.

This remix doesn’t just breathe new life into the original; it unleashes its full potential. The song’s message remains intact, but the execution here completely eclipses the first version, making every moment feel like a fire-breathing declaration from a band poised to command serious attention.

Saints Preserve Us (25 Mix)” reimagines the original with new drums, guitar, and fresh production by Francis Gorini (London Mastering Studio). Bravo to Gorini and the team for delivering an absolutely smashing job.

KaiserKillers consists of Johnny Zero (Guitar/Vocals), Andy DeForest (Bass), and Styx McIntosh (Drums). Originally forming in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, in the '90s, the band reunited in the 21st century, clearly refining their grit and honing their talents to perfection during their hiatus.

We absolutely loved the name inspiration, a nod to The Beatles’ early Hamburg days at the Kaiserkeller.

The track was recorded at Bede Burn Studios (Newcastle) and Strawberry Field (Colchester), then expertly mixed and mastered by Francis Gorini at London Mastering Studio.

We’ve got both eyes on the KaiserKillers because they have mastered the art of crafting period music that remains fresh, contemporary, and brimming with authenticity.

You can find this release on any major platform, make sure to playlist, stream, and share "Saints Preserve Us (25 Mix)" by KaiserKillers.
