Blasting into the room (or stage) near you is directly in your ears a rock and roll ride you can't play at a low volume. Jane N' The Jungle put chills on my skin, and then they burned it right off the bones with this multi-layered rock and roll "rough af" performance in "Cut Me Open."
2:00 minute mark. You're welcome. This is an explosion of next-level musical demonstrations. This song qualifies as the next superhero theme song and has all the pillars of our rock and roll stadium anthems. Drums that shatter glass...check. Guitars that curl a cat's hair...check. Vocals that can go from Broadway to perfectly screech (PLEASE don't misunderstand this - rock is not Opera and should never be. This vocalist's performance displays a beautiful and powerful ability and then rips open their lungs to show us what rock and roll is made of, which is incredible).
2:15 minute mark. Folk music break. Yes, you heard me, folk music. I adore nothing more than highs and falls and audible explosions in a song. This part is the sweet of the sweet and sour candy. Jane N' The Jungle slays it with "Cut Me Open." This is the part of a performance that, in most words, will stay short even if I try hard. Let's repeat this: a FOLK MUSIC BREAK!! And it kills? YEP!
When seen live, this song will be something of a rock and roll lover's dream. I hope I can see the rehearsals!! I want to be there!
