Jacob Collier’s 'Djesse Vol. 4' Secures GRAMMY® Album of the Year Nod: A Monumental Year of Accolades, Collaborations, and Global Tours

Jacob Collier’s 'Djesse Vol. 4' has earned a prestigious Album of the Year nomination at the GRAMMY® Awards. This marks Collier’s second nomination in the category, following the nomination of Djesse Vol. 3 in 2020. This year, Djesse Vol. 4 has also received nominations for Best Global Music Performance and Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella.


Described as “the colorful Mozart of Gen-Z” by The New York Times, Collier is a six-time GRAMMY® winner and the first British artist to win a GRAMMY® for each of his first four albums. With three nominations for Djesse Vol. 4, he is now a 15-time GRAMMY® nominee.

As the final chapter in the four-part Djesse series that began in 2018, Djesse Vol. 4 includes 16 tracks and an impressive lineup of guest artists: Chris Martin, John Legend, aespa, Tori Kelly, Madison Cunningham, Chris Thile, Yelle, CHIKA, Anoushka Shankar, The Aeolians 2018 Choir, Lindsey Lomis, and Collier’s mother, Suzie Collier. The album also features singles with Camilo, Shawn Mendes, Stormzy, Kirk Franklin, Michael McDonald, Lawrence, Brandi Carlile, John Mayer, Lizzy McAlpine, and a unique co-write with Remi Wolf. Adding to the collaborative spirit, Collier involved an "Audience Choir" made up of 100,000+ fans from around the world, whose voices were recorded during his international tours over the last two years.


In October, Collier released a Deluxe version of Djesse Vol. 4, which adds five new recordings that delve even further into his genre-blending creativity. The Deluxe edition celebrates the entire Djesse quadrilogy and can be explored here.



Highlights of 2024


2024 has been a milestone year for Collier. He began by winning his sixth GRAMMY® Award and performing alongside Joni Mitchell during the televised ceremony. Following the release of Djesse Vol. 4 in February, Collier was featured on major platforms like CBS Sunday Morning, Nightline, and NPR’s All Things Considered. He graced the cover of DownBeat and Rolling Stone UK, served as guest music director for Harper’s Bazaar, and appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel Live! In October, he performed with Jason Robert Brown at a special GRAMMY® Museum event in New York City. Recently, he debuted signature guitars with Strandberg and Taylor, performed at the Hollywood Bowl’s Joni Mitchell & The Joni Jam concert, and made his Austin City Limits debut on October 19.


With over 200,000 tickets sold this year, Collier wrapped up his largest North American tour to date this spring, including a sold-out show at Radio City Music Hall. He will continue his international tour through the end of the year, closing with a headlining show at London’s O2 Arena on December 9.
