Rising queer alt-pop artist Jack Panther unveils his poignant new single, "Just a Dog," a lush and emotional track that serves as a prelude to his highly anticipated third EP, when i’m feeling better we could dream together, set for release on March 14. With an ethereal blend of melancholy and euphoria, "Just a Dog" draws inspiration from the likes of Mitski, Lana Del Rey, and Portishead, while also carrying the evocative warmth of Coldplay’s signature sound.
Written during his first winter in London, Jack describes the single as a deeply personal confession of unspoken love, revealing, "It's about falling in love with a friend, and instead of telling him how I felt, I wrote this song. A lot of songs I write are about things left unsaid, and this might be my most intimate one yet." Produced alongside UK duo Rhys Fletcher and Lucan Mills, with additional production from Will McGillivray and mixing by Grammy-nominated Andrew Maury, when i’m feeling better we could dream together promises a sonic journey through vulnerability, empowerment, and nostalgia.
As he gears up for a major year ahead, Jack will celebrate the EP’s release with a series of international shows, including his debut Australian performance at The Evelyn Hotel in Melbourne on May 3. Having already sold out headline shows in both London and Auckland, Jack is ready to introduce his captivating live presence to a new audience. "I’m HUGELY excited to play my first Australian show," he shares. "Melbourne’s music scene is incredible, and playing The Evelyn Hotel has been a goal of mine for years!"
