We had the privilege of diving into "Fear Everyone", the latest EP by [SAMPLE_TEXT], and it unleashed a flood of sensations that left us absolutely captivated.

The opening track, “Eat Master,” immediately demands attention with its gritty, distorted guitars and an intriguingly off-kilter rhythm that feels both deliberate and chaotic. As the song progresses, it erupts into a powerful drumbeat and an electrifying vocal entrance. This track feels like a punk-infused take on jazz, balancing structured rhythms with unpredictable, exhilarating detours. It refuses to conform, embracing its own identity with a raw, unfiltered spirit. Vocally, the lead singer delivers a casual, almost conversational style, sharing emotions with an air of nonchalance, as if saying, “Take it or leave it.” By the time the song crescendos into its final moments, it detonates across the auditory landscape, leaving you exhilarated, as if you've just witnessed a beautiful, chaotic explosion.

What makes this band’s sound so compelling is their unapologetic approach to production. Rather than over-engineering their music, they let it breathe in its authentic, imperfect glory. This rawness, reminiscent of a grungy, smoke-filled venue, is essential to their essence. You wouldn’t want to hear this kind of music polished to sterility—it’s the feedback, the occasional crash of gear, and the unrefined textures that make it so alive. Beneath this raw exterior, though, lies undeniable musical precision. The band executes their craft with mastery, showcasing technical excellence while avoiding the cookie-cutter traps that can dull an otherwise brilliant performance.

Moving on to “Fear Everyone Master,” the EP’s standout track, we were struck by its relentless energy. Imagine a James Bond theme reimagined on a caffeine-fueled rampageit’s fast, intense, and utterly absorbing. The rumbling basslines and punchy guitars create a seamless yet ferocious backdrop, while the vocals continue their hypnotic, stream-of-consciousness delivery. As the song progresses, it cleverly winds down in a way that feels deliberate and artistic, like a machine running out of power in the most mesmerizing manner possible. This track embodies the band’s ethos: raw emotion translated into music, with the listener playing a pivotal role in the experience.

“Trapped A Pained Animal Master” doesn’t hold back either, plunging headfirst into pure, unrestrained chaos. It’s as if the band is teetering on the edge of a full-blown breakdown, ready to smash their instruments at any moment. Yet, within this frenetic energy, they somehow maintain a sense of cohesion. The melody is repeatedly torn apart and rebuilt, rising and falling in waves of controlled anarchy. Each cycle gives you just enough time to catch your breath before pulling you back into their swirling, jazz-grunge vortex. This dynamic push-and-pull is something that will undoubtedly define their sound.

Closing the EP is “Self Driving Car Master,” a mind-bending journey that challenges you to immerse yourself fully. The track’s erratic arrangement and freeform ramblings exude a sense of liberation, like pure, unfiltered musical expression. It’s an unconventional ride, but one that rewards those willing to let go and experience its raw beauty.

"Fear Everyone" is a testament to [SAMPLE_TEXT]’s unapologetic artistry. Their ability to channel chaos into something meaningful, while maintaining authenticity and emotional depth, is nothing short of remarkable. This EP isn’t just a listen—it’s an experience.

Hailing from Anchorage, Alaska, [SAMPLE_TEXT] is a band forged through genuine connections and shared creative sparks. Its members—Reece Caldwell (vocals and guitar), Tyler Farrell (drums), and Jacob Marsh (bass)—came together through an organic melding of friendships and mutual interests. Their sound thrives on a balance between shared artistic visions and a touch of eccentricity, creating music that is as cohesive as it is delightfully unconventional.

Drawing inspiration from an eclectic mix of genres and eras, the band channels the raw energy of 80s and 90s experimental punk, rock, and noise acts like Sonic Youth, Joy Division, and Swans. Grunge titans such as Nirvana and Alice in Chains add a brooding edge to their sound, while contemporary influences like Black Midi, Ty Segall, and Viagra Boys inject a modern twist. They also weave in elements of 60s pop, garage rock, Russian post-punk, old jazz, and even barbershop harmonies, showcasing an ear for both the harmonically lush and the rhythmically offbeat.

The band has made waves in their local scene, earning airtime on Anchorage’s KRUA 88.1 and KONR 106.1. Their approach to recording reflects their unpretentious and free-spirited ethos. They see production not as a constraint but as another layer of artistic expression, embracing everything from polished high-production sheen to lo-fi phone recordings and analog grit. Their latest EP is a testament to this philosophy—a patchwork of sounds engineered and recorded in collaboration with their longtime friend Micah Rawalt and mixed and mastered by local legend James Glaves. Completed in just one weekend, the project represents a raw and unapologetic take on their music, unbound by convention or expectations.

For [SAMPLE_TEXT], the joy lies in breaking rules and following instincts. They create music not for perfection but for expression, delivering a sound that is unpredictable, vibrant, and utterly their own.
