Carson Ferris drops “FOMO” A Journey of Sacrifice and Passion

With a terrific and unique acoustic introduction that has a really cool fade-in and fade-out technique, we kick off Carson Ferris's “FOMO,” and there are so many things we loved about it. When we heard the story behind this song, about it being literally the fear of missing out because this 14-year-old teenager decided to dive headfirst into music and miss out on typical teenage life experiences, it just added more excitement. The opening lyrics are some of the best we’ve ever heard, and when Carson Ferris delivers, “Last night, I dreamed that all my dreams came true,” it's such a powerful lyrical expression. When I hear something of that quality, I wonder how we’ve never heard it or thought of it before!! We can already tell we are going to be huge fans of this artist. If FOMO is the fear of missing out, then this song is the embodiment of enjoying music.

Additionally, the very catchy musical arrangement will bring a smile to your face. When you get to the build-up, you’re gonna jump out of your chair when you hear, “It’s not so easy to let go of all the things you want the most,” because this song really gets exciting with a tremendous beat and a terrific, unique, and powerful delivery by Carson Ferris.

This is a terrific radio performance that’s going to resonate with fans across the globe.

As the song continues to build, there are some really terrific and masterful mixing techniques that deliver ear candy with the volume changes, rises, and drops, along with some really great synths that support this terrific artist's vocal performance.

To think that someone’s priorities and their sensation of missing out can wind up creating something so amazing that other people in the world are likely to be jealous they didn’t create this terrific song themselves! In fact, what we’re saying is that others are going to have FOMO about being a pop star like Carson when Carson’s writing a song about FOMO! The layers are all here to keep peeling back.

Carson, we recommend you get ready to answer all the questions in the interviews. The outlets are no doubt going to want to know all about this song because it really tells a great story. We went back in for a second listen, and one of our favorite parts of the song was right around the one-minute mark, with the jumps and rises in Carson’s powerful expressions and exuberance in the delivery of the lyrics. When we get to one of the many fantastic interludes, we hear the softer delivery abilities, but then we get that explosion right back.

This song is a huge win for us!

Carson Ferris returns with his latest single, "FOMO," a dynamic blend of pop, rock, and electronic elements, directly inspired by his personal experiences.

At just 14 years old, this Utah-based artist has proven that he's willing to make significant sacrifices to pursue his passion for music. “FOMO,” which stands for the fear of missing out, captures the struggles and decisions Carson has faced.

He explains: “FOMO is a song about the fear of missing out. It's a song about priorities, making decisions, and figuring out what matters most to you and choosing that, even if it means missing out on other things. This can apply to a lot of things, but what I specifically wrote FOMO about is choosing to do music instead of being a normal teenager.”

With heartfelt honesty, Carson delves into the decisions that have shaped his journey. He’s given up typical teenage experiences like parties, adventures, and video games, all in pursuit of his musical dreams. But for Carson, the trade-off is worth it, as music remains his top priority. “We all come across hard decisions in our lives that will lead to missing out on something,” he reflects, emphasizing the universal nature of such choices.

Produced by his longtime mentor and collaborator MYKYL, "FOMO" showcases a captivating blend of electronic and rock influences, highlighted by an enchanting guitar intro that immediately draws listeners in. This intro sets the stage for Carson's smooth and polished voice, which glides over the melody with an emotive touch, offering a warm and inviting sound. His voice is gentle yet impactful, breathing life into the track as he narrates his story with vivid lyrical detail.

Carson’s journey has already been marked by impressive achievements, including being a finalist in the International Acoustic Music Awards in 2023 for “Drive Alone Acoustic,” singing in Donny Osmond's Las Vegas show, performing the national anthem at the Utah Jazz, and collaborating with Trinidad Cordoba in 2021 on “Can’t Be Without You.” His musical influences include pop icons like Benson Boone, Knox, and Ed Sheeran, while his favorite band of all time is Journey.

"FOMO" is not just a song; it’s a celebration of living life to the fullest and the courage to prioritize what truly matters. It will be available to stream everywhere on October 11th, 2024, marking Carson’s 10th single. As he continues to carve out his space in Utah's bustling music scene, Carson Ferris remains a standout talent with a bright future ahead, sharing his world with listeners through each verse and beat.
