We had the chance to check out the official music video for "HEY LITTLE BABY" by Tangerine Cassette, and the comedic undertones are undeniable, but make no mistake, the song itself is far from funny.
It’s a fantastic track with an infectious energy that instantly grabs you. The video shows the relentless pursuit of a psychotic ex-lover, who’s literally stalking their ex and just won’t let go. We've all had those experiences, but this takes it to a whole new level!
What truly stands out here is the incredible vocal talent of Natalie Cleveland, one-half of the duo. Her soaring vocals, packed with power and precision, are nothing short of breathtaking. The clarity of the recording perfectly highlights her stunning vocal control. Another major highlight is the blistering bass line and those hyperfast beats that get your adrenaline pumping! The images of obsessive, unhinged behavior in the video are hilariously dark, perfectly capturing the madness of a breakup where someone just won’t leave you alone. We’re not giving away too much, though, because you need to experience this rollercoaster of a video yourself. Trust us, go watch it!
Next, we dove into "HELLO IT'S THE NEW ME," which couldn’t have dropped at a better time, just in time for Halloween! This is another incredible track from Tangerine Cassette, and once again, they nail it. The bass in this one? Insane. It's all over your ears, filling every corner of the speakers with pounding intensity. Natalie Cleveland delivers an entirely different vibe here, with a new cadence and intonation that’s both captivating and impressive. Midway through the track, they hit us with a synth-based technique that takes things to a whole new level. This is the track that’s going to dominate the dance floors, DJs everywhere are going to want to remix it. We're calling it now: global hit contender.
Lastly, we wrapped things up with "GIBBERISH," and by this point, we were seriously wondering how we hadn’t heard of Tangerine Cassette before. They have an absolutely infectious combo of beats that tingle the senses and put you in a full-on psychedelic groove. There’s a nightclub somewhere out there that’s missing these killer tracks right now.
