Anoush released “TWO” and honestly it should have just been named NUMBER ONE.

We got a chance to check out the album “TWO” by Anoush and we were instantly excited with the opening track.

“Divide & Conquer”. Harmonious pianos and violins fill the air while Anoush gives us a tiny taste with a short ominous sounding vocal introduction. Next up we are slammed with a dope beat. This track falls right between R&B and hip-hop and honestly, it draws out the best of both worlds. Anoush has a very easygoing sounding vocal annunciation but simultaneously carries tremendous confidence. This track honestly has a killer dance vibe that you can’t not move along with it. It’s awesome when an artist has an extremely good voice and at the same time an extremely unique sound. This artist has definitely pulled this off. When you are exposed to little pieces of ear candy in a song, it makes it all the more memorable. When you hear the lyric: “That’s what I thought…. Oh help me please”, you will always be mouthing that part when dancing with your friends (or when in the shower), it’s iconic. Next up, “Save me from myself, my God” is a killer lyric and super relatable to all of us self-destructive people!! Just wait till you get to pass the halfway mark and the sustained bass… you’re going to be impressed. The hip-hop really jumps out now. If first impressions last a lifetime then you’re gonna fall in love with this artist from this one track alone.

“Golden Hills” starts off with an extremely dark message from a narrating voice. Anoush arrives shortly after with a slightly different vocal tonation that is equally exciting yet very authentic. The vocal abilities of this artist are extremely impressive yet put forth an effortless outer shell. I’m going to give you a heads up that you’re gonna have to try really hard to find a track here that you don’t love. It’s rare that someone can put out this much music all at the same time and it all be this good. The coolest parts of this album so far are that each song has its own unique identity, but they still have a cohesive connection amongst all of them that’s like a connecting thread making them all songs within the same universe.

“Brave Girl “starts off with a beautiful horn introduction. Once again, this artist gives us an amazing vocal performance. When you think of an artist, you tend to think of the entire musical production, but this artist’s vocal abilities are absolutely the stand out of every song. The musical support is terrific, but 99% of your attention is on this singer's delivery every moment.

“Take a Trip “is another beautiful introduction with an acoustic guitar opening; very sweet and gentle with a powerful underlying beat. The Spanish touches are an absolute win for us. Just a terrific sound. Anoush once again reinvents a sound that you know is the same but has an entirely different feel. This is so impressive and also very important. The way one can best connect with fans is by being unique but you also don’t want to just sound the same on every track and that was accomplished here.

“Lies“ the opening lyric “I know what you did“, set an immediate tone of anger for us as a listener. It opens the door of knowing how many times we’ve been screwed over in our lives by someone and finding out what they did and now wanting revenge. It’s amazing how in less than 30 seconds this artist can give you all of those emotions. The vocal delivery can be described as nothing but a whisper howl. It conveys a message of pain. It could be best described as a hero of our movie and then slowly dying and telling us who killed them, but barely getting the words out of their mouth. This is a very dramatic moment that would be perfect in any movie or TV environment.

“June gloom“. We may have slowly died, listening to this song. The bluesy guitar is absolutely mind blowing and one of our favorite styles of music. What a perfect pairing for this vocalist's abilities. We have to say that we didn’t see this one coming. Covering all bases must be the purpose of this artist to prove to everyone listening their abilities and how they can pull off any genre. Once again, changing their vocal delivery and tonation, they perfectly align with this bluesy musical arrangement.

So here’s the deal. If you don’t know this artist, you’ve been missing out. These tracks from start to finish are outstanding. Engineering wise the mix and production are incredible. Very clean intakes followed by a lot of time in the engineer room making sure that the highs and lows of these songs were properly fused with the vocals. Next up - can we emphasize more how great how much we love the vocals? I don’t know if we told you that.. did we?
